• Oversees all geospatial data management activities and conducts related technology and data analysis.
• Responsible for aiding in all project information services, primarily data management, GPS support and data collection and processing and reporting quality control.
• Manage geospatial and file based documents to ensure data quality standards are maintained, editing geospatial data and preparing cartographic products.
• Maintains existing and develops new websites and web applications including database programming, multimedia development and web editing;
• Assists in integrating other 3rd party applications into new and existing websites/applications;
• Assists with concept design, content delivery and exploring/recommending emerging technologies and services that will benefit the program;
• Provides technical support, training and ongoing development for a variety of existing applications;

• Coordinate GIS activities with the project staff, Software Development and IT teams.
• Perform GIS data quality control of field data. The process of quality control includes reviewing the data for completeness and accuracy, identifying, correcting errors or omissions in the data and insuring that that data is stored correctly in the project GIS database, including, correct coordinate projection and metadata.
• Capture GIS data in different formats using GPS, heads up digitizing and other means.
• Perform GIS data quality control of data collected from external sources. The process of quality control includes reviewing the data for completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting errors or omissions in the data and insuring that that data is stored correctly in the database and updating metadata.
• Perform GIS spatial analyses as required.
• Create map layouts, map templates, map icons, generate maps, generate reports and insure that the maps and reports are stored in the database correctly.
• Develop new applications, tools, techniques or methods to improve workflow and train others in their use.
• Provide information and details in support of monthly reports on all activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
