OpenGeo Users-
I'm trying to determine if it would be useful to create a branch of opengeo that uses OpenCV instead of JAI. OpenCV is emerging as a de facto standard for open source image processing and image analytics, which lends itself to groups investing in advanced solutions, such as HPC, streaming, deep learning (object and pattern recognition), etc.
In my case, my company makes products that support opencv modified for HPC and video streaming and content delivery.
If replacing JAI in opengeo might be valuable I'd like to hear. Thanks.

PS. I'm posting here because I could not find an OpenGeo forum. There is a web page mentioning a forum (http://boundlessgeo.com/2010/05/opengeo-suite-community-forum-launched/), but the forum link (http://getsatisfaction.com/opengeo) gives a "retired" message.
