• The Sr. Constructability Engineer shall be able to conduct an independent, structured and effective review of construction bid documents to ensure that certain project requirements are clear, documents are coordinated, and will be very useful to the Contractor in bidding, construction and administration of the project. He must have a good knowledge of construction industry best practices, quality standards and regulatory requirements, e.g. HSE. He must have a rich experience in working with construction managers, designers, project managers and contractors.
• Facilitate Constructability Reviews (CR) by doing a preliminary review of the contract documents to determine the status of design and if major elements needs review
• Review contract documents: Drawings, specifications, reports and estimates to determine the scope, nature and requirements to be considered in the constructability review.
• To assist the Chief Construction Manager in achieving their required Constructability Reviews. Process Delivery and to assist the projects in construction issue mitigation during construction
• Provide advices to Construction Manager and review team on technical issues, providing the most efficient solutions where possible
• Preside over the constructability review workshop, preparing the kick-off meeting, gathering all necessary data, developing roles and responsibilities and drafting an agenda and forms to be used.
• Compile and consolidate all review comments from the workshop, and conduct an independent review to determine the most relevant ones
• Manage the constructability knowledge database and information collection process
• Prepare concise constructability reports for the project team including accurate constructability analysis and evaluation
• Instruct the Design Consultant to modify design in accordance with approved Constructability Review report after approval from the Client.
• Support the project team in coordinating with Client Representative or Government Authorities.
• Assist Construction Managers in the production and management of constructability information, reviews, reporting and auditing current issues until activity completion.
