Senior GIS Analyst

Requirements

Qualifications
A degree qualification in GIS or a related field.

Essential Criteria
10 years minimum relevant work experience.
Experience using ESRI ArcGIS – minimum 5 years experience.
Experience in the Administration of ArcGIS Server and SDE.
Experience using at least two of the following ESRI ArcGIS extensions: 3D, Spatial, Network and Tracking Analyst.
Experience with SQL Server 2008.
Experience of providing GIS support to multidiscipline, client focused, project environments.
Understanding of spatial data formats and spatial reference systems.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Proven experience of delivering to deadlines within pressurised environments.
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
Desirable Criteria
Experience of working with and controlling a large number of evolving datasets.
Experience using FME Desktop and Server.
Experience with Silverlight.
Experience with Javascript, Python, HTML and CSS.
Experience with SQL (T-SQL and PL-SQL).
Experience with SharePoint 2010.
Experience using AutoCAD software (including Civil 3D and Map).
Hands on experience of using CAD derived data within a GIS environment.
Responsibilities
Key contact for GIS within the project team.
Completion of tasks received from the GIS Team Lead.
Support the GIS Team Lead.
Lead on discrete projects for other disciplines.
Delegate tasks to GIS Analysts.
Supervise and strengthen the skills of GIS Analysts.
Manage and maintain AacSde integrating data from multiple sources.
Responsibple for integrity, validity and quality insurance of data
Support web based solutions using ArcGIS Server.
Create spatial data to the required specification.
Coordinate data with the CAD team.
Integration of data from multiple sources into the spatial data repository.
Analyse, interrogate and manipulate spatial and temporal data.
Prepare plans & present data via appropriate media.
Check for and adhere to CPO GIS procedures and standards.
Check for and adhere to CPO document management procedures and standards.
Check for and adhere to CPO project quality standards and procedures.
Responsible for integrity, validity and quality assurance of data.
Look for opportunities to promote GIS and information management processes to increase efficiency on the project.
