I am working with a number of very large 250m resolution raster files from the African Soil Information Service (AFSIS, http://www.isric.org/data/africa-soil-profiles-database-version-01-2) and would like to learn how to use R to re-project them to geographic coordinates from their original projection. Once I do that I'd like to crop a much smaller extent of the file (a sub-region of Tanzania) and perform some overlays and raster algebra on related datasets.
