I use Microstation v8. I have to make a building (solid) from existing property register (on the base level) cut on the top by the roof (which I have already). To sum up - I own the property register (ground level) and sloping/flat roofs' shapes (top level). I do following steps:
1) Copy the property register layer (containing shapes).
2) Use "Surface by Extrusion" in order to make "solid", to the higher level than roof's one.
3) Use "Move Parallel" in order to make huge shape of the roof.
4) Cut the new "solid" (building) made from extrusion by the "huge shape" using "Trim Surfaces".
That is how I get the building compatible with ground and top level. Do you have any ideas how to speed it up? Maybe other software?
