stackexchange community,
I'm dealing with a weird situation. I use ArcMap 10.2.2. I have several points uniformly distributed. The thing is that Optimized Hot Spot Analysis (OHSA) tool is unable to to create a raster surface at the end. The message that it returns is:"Could not create output raster layer; make sure that your Spatial Analyst extension has been checked out"
The Spatial Analyst extension is enabled and works fine. In fact, I've run OHSA 3-4 days before and it produced a raster surface.
I know that I can run Hot Spot Analysis (Getis-Ord Gi*) and then run Kernel Density tool using the z-scores of Hot Spot Analysis (Getis-Ord Gi*), but I wonder why the OHSA doesn't work.
Thanks in advance
