NCAR and ArcGIS integration (time lapse)?

I've downloaded several climate files from the NCAR Climate Change model, however, I can't seem to enable a time lapse or put more that one layer over continents (ie total precipiation, land surface temperature etc) any advice on how to make this GIS model dynamic?
