I need to model internal state of objects put on map.
Let's say I put on map computers and refrigerators. Computer has internal state:N cpus, M memory cards, X disks each of them can be connected with appropriate cable.I would like to model cpus, memory and disks as small circles and rectangles or bitmap icons with legend aside the internal map. The cables are modeled as lines, they should autoconnect to cpu/memory/disk when dragged near them. Modeling should be possible by drag and drop.
Fridge can have shelves, they are represented as rectangles or icons, they are assigned dimensions, they can have their own nested internal state.
Which frameworks / libraries should I look for in google ?
Which keywords should I look for in google ?
Is similar functionality provided by QGIS or GRASS ?
Java and open source would be preferred.
