I am very new to GIS Programming and find myself having to download CSV files from the Internet and scrubbing them (ex: removing special characters or spaces from field names) so they are readable in ArcMap so I can call the MakeXYEventLayer tool.
I was curious if there is a script that I can run to do either/both of these tasks?
