Im comparing two Line shape files in arcMap, to find almost Parallel Lines. Near table is Ideal since its an already made tool, however it does not have the option of dynamic search distance, (as in find search distance in fieldx).
I was thinking maybe I can create a buffer that uses field x, and then set the search distance as 0 in the GenerateNearTable too. but I'd like a solution that would let me know how far the two features are, which my solution obviously doesn't do.
Can you please let me know if Cursors or other Arcpy methods may let me assign a field to search distance, and how exactly?
