I am trying to use this map as a raster but I am not having any success in QGIS. I tried in Georeferencer to open raster and used these settings:
Transformation: Thin plate spineResampling Method: Nearest NeighborTarget SRS: Pulkovo 1942 (and others)
Then I input five points at major lat/lng intersections and run georeferencing. But it comes out like this:
Am I doing this right? Is there a way to find out the correct coordinate system without tons of trial and error?
