I was looking for some advice on how best to go about migrating a copy of our LIVE sde environment across to our TEST sde environment which are on two separate servers - both running MS SQL 2012.
I have tried this before a couple of times before we went LIVE doing a backup from LIVE and trying to use this back up to restore over the TEST environment but I ran into issues to do with schema’s and permissions etc so I was wondering what the process would be for doing this. We have a number of triggers and stored procedures on our tables also for the automation of generating unique ID”s for our featureclasses so I need to ensure that none of these will break during this process.
In addition if it is possible to make this a scheduled task that will run say once a month overnight that would also be useful.
