Based in Doha, Qatar, Naufar is a ground breaking new sanctuary for wellness and treatment of addiction and substance misuse disorders in a state of the art purpose built wellness and rehabilitation facility. We are seeking passionate, intelligent people to become part of a pioneering team to create the integrated and medically-led wellness program that will provide non-stigmatising clinically based and hospitality-enhanced services within this unique facility.
The post-holders will contribute to the multidisciplinary assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care tailored to the needs of patients experiencing substance-related and addictive disorders and comorbid conditions.
JOB SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Clinical Duties
a) To undertake structured interviews, psychological assessments (including complex psychometric tests), observations of individuals and groups and to diagnose the nature and condition of mental disorders.
b) To lead in the development of psychological formulations of clinical problems and the development and delivery of treatment plans, which include psychological treatment and/or management of clients’ problems and to ensure that treatment plans are devised, updated and conducted.
c) To guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
d) To provides individual and family psychotherapy and to assist in the co-ordination and running of therapeutic groups.
e) To assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of counselling programs and client’s progress.
2. Educational Duties
a) To participate and lead in psychology in-service development.
b) To develop and implement naufar service improvement.
c) To assist in the teaching of other multidisciplinary team members, clinical and non-clinical staff, and others to promote knowledge of psychology management to enhance Guest-client care.
GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES :
a) Will assist in the setup, organization and operation of naufar clinical services.
• Perform any other work-related tasks or activities as directed by the ‘direct supervisor’
