The Role
JOB OBJECTIVE:
To develop and maintain a Geographic Information System (GIS) for the company.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
Develops and maintains GIS system for the Company
Develops specifications for additional GIS and GPS related hardware and software
Become proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Software Suite
Guides users in creating requirements for GIS Software
Creates new computer programs or edits existing programs in order to produce maps, data, and automate procedures (designs, codes, tests, and documents)
Writes documentation to support software
Prepares training materials and gives presentations to users
Maintains inventory of system maps as related to GIS (converts from CAD when necessary)
Prepares, updates, and distributes GIS maps and new information as they become available
Provides GIS (and other) database development, management, and maintenance
Provides general public information services
Collects data and performs analyses as needed
Keeps current with new GIS and GPS information and technology
Represents the company in job related organizations when requested by supervisor
Attends meetings and conferences as requested or approved
Maintains a positive attitude with team/unit
Maintains good public relations
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Job Location: Maddina.
• Gender: Male.
• Nationality: Saudis or Arabs located in KSA with transferable visa (iqamah)
• Qualification (Education):Bachelor Degree.
• Years of Experience:5 years.
• Skills:
- Experience in V Track Applications
- Experience in Street Level Maps
- Experience in GIS Digital Elevation Model (DEM)
- Experience in Remote Sensing and GPS
- Experience in the development of GIS Web-based applications using Java & .Net with ArcIMS & ArcGIS
- Experience in the development of GIS Web-based applications using MapInfo MapXtreme .NET, MapInfo MapXtreme SDK.NET, MapX Mobile, MapInfo Professional, MapInfo Runtime Viewer users, MapInfo Runtime Manipulator
- Good experiences using PCI Geomatics, AutoDesk Civil 3D CAD/flowing, FME (Feature Manipulation engine)
- Good experience to perform analysis on base map with development special scripts for that.
Technical Skills:
- MapInfo MapXtreme .NET.
- MapInfo MapXtreme SDK.NET
- MapX Mobile.
- MapInfo Professional.
- MapInfo Runtime Viewer users.
- MapInfo Runtime Manipulator
- ArcGIS Server (Setup, Administration, Programming).
- ArcGIS DesKtop (Base map Manipulation, Programming and Analysis).
- Web servers such as IIS, Apache (Setup and Administration)
- Java script programming.
- XML web services.
- VB.NET programming.
- ASP.NET over VB.NET or C# programming
- Ajax programming over Asp.NET and Java script.
- Web standards programming, such as XHTML, XML, HTTP, HTML, CSS Java, J2EE programming.
- Geodatabase design and programming under Oracle 10g, SQL Server 2008
- Comprehensive test plans and conducts tests, Perform AQ/QC for application and data.
