When I reviewed the Ninth Edition of the*National Geographic Atlas of the World in 2010, I*compared it virtually plate-by-plate with the Eighth Edition. With the Atlas’s Tenth Edition, which came out in the fall of 2014, Christine Newton Bush does something similar in her review for*Cartographic Perspectives: emphasize what’s new and changed. When you have a reference product that updates every few years, people may well wonder each time a new edition comes out whether now is the*time to replace their older copy, so this approach makes a lot of sense.
