The Intro to QGIS class is headed to Florida. I’m going to SHRUG to throw some FOSS4G into a pile of ESRI Related training. Given with how the last QGIS class happened I have some excitement that I get to inspire some people to do something different with their GIS.

I’m also contemplating a class upgrade before this one happens. QGIS is ramping up to the 2.12 release and although the class sticks to the core so it hardly changes – it might be time to shake it up just a little bit.

  • Date: November 20th
  • Time: Not sure but it’s going to last 8 hours
  • Price: $350
Description: This 8 hour workshop is designed to introduce you to QGIS 2.8, an alternative Open Source GIS software for viewing, editing, and managing spatial data in a wide variety of commonly used vector and raster formats. It is lightweight, flexible, and can be installed on Windows, MacOSX, Linux, as well as Android devices. Best of all, most will find QGIS to be extremely affordable while still providing a growing list of features and functionality.

Come to Florida – it should be fun!
