JOB SUMMARY
•work with the users and stakeholders of the GIS applications to document needs and requirements for the GIS application.
•document the business processes, work instructions and policies for using the GIS application on the project
•interface with the GIS delivery team to ensure the requirements and needs are clearly understood
•participate in user acceptance of the application.
•provide support to the Critigen Sales team helping to clarify the client’s needs and providing outline solutions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Work with the users and stakeholders to understand and document needs and requirements as required.
•Act as a key point of contact for the GIS delivery team, provid requirements to this team and review deliverable for the team (e.g. designs etc)
•Document user acceptance test specification for GIS applications
•Play an active role in acceptance of the GIS solution.
•Support the role out of the application and serve as an initial point of contact for the user questions during the roll out.
•Participates in resolving issues and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements of GIS related activities.
•Liaise with the IT function to ensure the infrastructure is able to support the solution.
•Support the technical architect and Sales team by responding to Spatial solution sections of RFPs.
•Provide Spatial solution technical support in client meetings.
•Act as a mentor to other team members.
•Keep abreast of developments in the Spatial Market place.
•Willing to travel as required to countries in the GCC.
EXPERIENCE:
•Eligible to work in the UAE.
•Qualification in GIS or Geography or similar.
•Experience in requirements analysis.
•Experience in business process analysis.
•User Acceptance testing.
•Proven experience of ESRI GIS products from version 9x onwards (including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Mobile, Arc IMS, Arc Info ....)
•Proven experience of Mobile GIS solutions.
•Good working knowledge of web GIS solutions using product such as Google Earth and Bing Maps.
•Understand local regulatory and/or industry requirements.
•Proven experience of GIS data models and standards.
•Understanding of SQL Server.
