I am new to gis,am currently advancing myself.
I am reading different types of NMEA sentences,I read NMEA 0183 standard and saw that in some sentences there are fields which indicates status of sentence.These fields are sometimes called mode indicator,sometimes called gps quality indicator which determine the status of sentences being valid or invalid.
What I don t understand is that what should I do with invalid sentences ?Why it is invalid? checksum,sentence length,ranges are OK but sentence is invalid.Does this mean that all information carried by this sentence is missing,false or the information may be true(not randomly true) but measurement quality is not good?
