Using GDAL Convert .SHP to GEO TIFF in Command Line Python

I have dozen Shape files (.SHP) with Georeferenced. I need to convert to GeoTiff or other format that GDAL primarly gdal2tiles.py to convert to MBTiles format. All I want is convert the .shp files to .tiff (georeferenced) so gdal2tiles.py can handle in creating maptiles.

gdal2tiles.py geotifffile.tif foldername
