It getting really irritating to find that every other functionality , external command (workflow), workflow tool or utility am trying to involve in GE or GVH are unsupported or never work. And its more frustrating bcoz I am following documentation where it is mentioned about new added or existing functionality. So technically it should work.
These following external commands are not working at all though the GE SDK API list for GVH suggest them as supported commands.
HighlightESRIFeatureSetZoomToESRIFeatureSetZoomToFeatures
I tried Data Link for a feature layer and added it in feature description exactly the way it was suggested in documentation. Feature description never brings data link field. (and the view additional details link shows all data link fields perfectly)
Common client tool in workflow - Get Map Service Info never retrieves url as it is not supported in GVH. This is no where documented (or may be i have missed reading small details, if any )
I am using ArcGIS Online account to publish feature layer. All major map functionality tools are under ArcGIS Server toolbox in Workflow. Like how to capture geometry, buffer area, or query features without mapservice or query url. I need dynamic query functionality to work for each layer based on user authentication. SQL Non-Query accepts static query. and even if i pass parameters, zoom or highlight commands never work.
No labels (even though i have created them in ArcGIS online map and saved for later use) are displayed on feature layers in GE. I am clueless why so? How would user identify features without their respective labels?
I need to authenticate identity server credentials and layers or workflow visibility and functionality should work accordingly. But as it is compulsory to login ArcGIS online account to load feature layers, configuring IS never makes sense. Isn't there a way to capture or store AGOL credentials in config file for one time use and then make user login thru IS?
I kept asking in each forum and getting no proper results or response. So I am collectively putting all queries so far in a hope that someone from Latitude Geographics team or Geocortex professional to come up with some answers or reasoning , if any.
