Define and ensure the standards of product development across Furniture Department within Home Centre. Facilitate coordination between buying department, design department and selected vendors in order to respect the quality, norms, and designs submitted by design department.
Development Management
• Define and update product quality standards, sizing and specifications
• Support Buying Department in Price Ladder management (according to specs)
• Advise buying and design department on structure and construction of products during development phases
• Ensure the delivery of designs which are compliant with the themes, the industrial feasibility, the retail constraints requirements and the company’s strategy
• Support the Design Department by giving clear technical guidance on product development
• Ensure a constantly updated 3D database on the developed products
• Support quality department by ensuring the relevant testing and norms to be compliant with
• Ensure a constantly updated line drawings database for both developed and bought products
• Support the Industrial Designers in achieving products and programs
Project Management
• Ensure follow-up and respect of required specifications with suppliers
• Ensure the respect of the deadlines by managing buying and design calendars (monitoring and planning the deliverables)
• Coordinate the sign-off of collections and new ranges
