Job Title Surveying Engineer
Position Description Saudi Aramco seeks an experienced Surveying Engineer to join its Project Management team. The Project Management Organization designs and constructs numerous multi-billion dollar mega projects as well as many other oil & gas projects. Some of these mega projects include the Shaybah NGL Program, the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center, Wasit Gas Program, the Manifa Gas Program, Karan Program and the Ras Tanura Refinery Expansion Project. Project Management manages and executes projects from multiple offices geographically scattered throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Minimum Requirements BS degree in Geomatics or related filed with nine years or more in mapping operation and GIS applications
Duties & Responsibilities •Helps SSD management with directions to expand GIS and mapping products and services.
•Provides consultancy on state of the art photogrammetric mapping hardware sensors upgrade to produce
•Desire mapping and GIS products.
•Provides technical support to the geodetic and photogrammetric mapping operation.
•Uses the detailed knowledge of current operation to identify requirements and assists with the development of project proposals and strategic plans.
•Implement and supervise best practices in photogrammetric mapping and geodatabase production.
•Leads the evaluation, design, and enhancement of GIS and mapping workflows and applications, specifically to integrate the GIS with existing data sources to improve its accuracy, availability, and accessibility.
•Develops and implements priorities, goals, and objectives for mapping and GIS products and services using best-in-industry practices
•Monitors and documents data production performance and providing on-going feedback to management regarding data production results
About Us The Engineering & Project Management (E&PM) business line studies, plans and oversees the construction of the Company’s new facilities, including some of the biggest and most complex projects in the petroleum industry. Recently, Saudi Aramco completed the largest capital program in its history that included new or expanded oil, gas and petrochemical facilities, raising maximum sustainable crude oil production capacity to 12 million barrels per day and significantly increasing gas production and processing capacities. Among the recently completed projects was the largest crude oil increment in the history of the industry: Khurais, with a production capacity of 1.2 million barrels per day. More challenges lie ahead, with a slate of new or expanded oil, gas, refining and petrochemical projects in the works. E&PM also manages the Company’s Research & Development Center where scientists investigate topics such as the desulfurization of crude oil, advanced fuel formulations for next generation combustion engines, and reservoir nano-scale robots (Resbots™) for injection into reservoirs to record their properties.
