I am presently analysing the relationship between hydraulic fracture operations and possible associated induced seismicity.
I have both the earthquake data (as a shapefile with lat, long, magnitude and date) and the hydraulic fracture well data (with lat, long, and date).
Date format is the same for both shapefiles.
Now, I was looking to make a buffer map showing the possible relationship between the two. e.g. say for a time window of 5 months and distance 40 km or less of from a hydraulic fracture well to an earthquake event. Perhaps it can be shown as a buffer circle? How would I go about it?
What could be some other ways of showing a possible relationship between the two?
