•Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers.
• Prepare and process purchase orders; make copies and keep accurate records as required
• Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle
• Develop reports on material and personnel movements and various operational logistics transactions.
• Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
• Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
• Negotiate transportation rates or services.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
• Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers.
• Provide support to management for preparation of quotations, sales orders and invoicing in the system.
• Provide all documentation like LCs, customs clearance, export documents, inspections to concern people to prepare accurately and in time.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Compose correspondence/reports for own or management signature.
• Use a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, etc, to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases.
• Attend meetings, taking minutes and keeping notes.
• Order and maintain stationery and equipment.
• Check general office cleanliness and ensure upkeep of all office assets.
