I have a shapefile with administrative divisions. How could I get the name of the administrative divisions from GPS coordinates using this shapefile (not an online API). I have installed pyshp, gdal, matplolib basemap, but can't figure it out.
I have found this package (https://github.com/gka/pyshpgeocode) which seems appropriate, but I can't install it.
