- Handle basic checks on registrations and de-registrations of non-complex accounts and ensure the escalation of unusual cases to higher authorities.

Operational Roles
- Review registrations and de-registrations for non-complex accounts.
-
Verify the documentations submitted, identify any discrepancies, and request additional supporting documents.

Update and adjust taxable person’s account and information (ex: Bank Account details, Address, etc.)

Proactively get taxable persons to register (as instructed by Compliance and Enforcement).

Coordinate with Taxpayer services to answer queries related to registrations and de-registrations.
-
Levy the appropriate penalties and surcharges for late registrations as dictated by the tax policy.
-
Register, validate and maintain business entity accounts.
-
Ensure that data integrity confirms to registration requirements and processes.

Monitor registrations for suspicious behaviour.
-
Review tax agent profiles proposed by taxable persons.
- Contact taxable persons or their tax agents to address account detail discrepancies and to request supporting documentation.
