I am having a problem calibrating a Landsat 5 TM image to reflection TOA. I am using Envi Classic to perform the calibration in the Landsat Calibration tool. Part of the problem is the .met file only provides me with gains and bias and not Lmin & Lmax. However the numbers in the .met file aren't the same as those in the Landsat Calibration function. The gain in the .met file for band 7 for example is given as "GAIN_BAND7 = 0.0015400", whereas the the number given in the Landsat Calibration function in Envi is given as 0.06555118.For the bias, the number in the .met file is given as "BIAS_BAND7 = -0.0040000", whereas the bias in the Landsat Calibration tool is given as 253.85. When I perform the calibration with the .met numbers, the dn numbers are too low, but when I do it with the Landsat Calibration function they are sometimes too high in certain bands. Can anyone suggest the best procedure to follow? Thanks
