Raster data for maximum temperature

I am looking for raster data for maximum temperature, ideally on a state by state basis (US) to make the file sizes smaller. Data would need to be weekly or daily going back to at least 2010. I think NOAA has something like this, but I found their website hard to navigate. Could someone point me to a download?
