I have a set of points that I bring into ArcMap as a shapefile, these contain X/Y coordinate data as well as Z data (Elevation). I am using this to digitized from so when I make a new point file I snap to these points and then calculate geometry (this will give me the XY data) however, is there a way I can get the Z data from the original point file and transfer it to my newly digitized points? It doesn't appear I can do this with calculate geometry?
