Frustrated newbie here
-so thanks in advance
Making a Geo-tiff file to be used by another program (SMT) as "culture" image. That program requires an associated wtf file with the standard format of:
pixel X sizedefined 0.0defined 0.0- pixel Y sizex of upper leftY of upper left
In our case, all dimensions will be in feet.
We have used QGIS v. 2.8 to geo-reference the image using decimal degrees to define the geo-referenced points. Using the "Create World File" check box, we get the X and Y of the upper left pixel in decimal degrees. However, the target program requires feet. How can we obtain those coordinates in Feet?
Likewise, how can we obtain the pixel dimensions in feet?
QGIS documentation makes it very clear that the program is aware of all of the data that we need, but how do we extract that information in the required measuring unit of feet?
Thanks,Bill
