I have set a goal where I wanted to see if python and PyQgis are relevant for me. I've started with A byte of Python and did other tutorials and guides. Now I'm finally getting a good idea of the power of Python - well more or less. I'm trying come up with a conclusion for myself whither I should proceed or not. Most of my work-related GIS-analysis can be done with the tools in the GUI or by the Processing Framework. Python has it powers, but it also has it's complexity, and I'm not sure if the time writing python scripts is a good bet. Am I right if I say that it's a must learn, when working with bigger databases, and the need for regular updates of these, plus complex analyses and outputs etc? At my work my GIS-tasks are unique from day to day, and never the same, but I'm not administrating our platforms and data. So to end this up: Is Python worth learning for me versus the good plugins, tools, Processing Framework and more, that's within QGIS?
