I have to choose between PostGre/PostGIS and mysql (with database extension) to implement a new application (web site) exposing maps and doing a lot of geographic calculation on data. 1) What are the most advanced DBMS from a functional standpoint? and what are the main differences? 2) What are the most stable platform? The application will be used by internal users of the company (50 people) and also by external users (on the web), named (200) + unnamed (figure unknown by design
