Package getcartr Installation Problems

I want to build a cartogram by following this tutorial.

The first thing I did, I spent the R-R-3.1.1 version 3.1.2 then I did the following:

library(devtools); install_github('chrisbrunsdon/getcartr', subdir='getcartr') I got the following error:

Warning in install.packages: package 'getcartr' is not available (for R Version 3.1.2) Can anyone help me how I can please install it?

after installing Ubuntu on a virtual machine, I tried to install the package Rcartogram as follows:
