Has anyone tried setting up an OSM server using Apache2, mod_tile, renderd, PostGIS, and Mapnik using MobaXterm on Windows? Many packages appear to be available for MobaXterm including Postgres and PostGIS.
I have an OSM server running in a Linux virtual machine, but that requires me to allocate computing resources to a VM instead of sharing the computer's full resources. I need a local OSM server for purposes of generating on-demand maps for an in-flight application where Internet service is often not available.
The other alternative is to run both my application and OSM server on Linux natively, but there is some resistance to doing so due to the preferred familiarity of Windows.
