Job Description
​

* Resident In Kuwait
•. (Masters preferred) in computer engineering/science/information technology or related
•5+ years experience administrating Oracle databases in 24 x 7 production environment
•Oracle Certification in DBA (Master or Professional preferred)
•Strong knowledge of using Oracle Database tools.
• Oracle 11g RAC on Solaris experience
•Backup and recovery backup practices in Oracle
•Experience in Solaris 10. Solaris 10 SPARC experience will be an advantage.
•Oracle application tuning
•Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Administration (DBA) best practices for performance and growth optimization
•Capacity Oracle monitoring and management
•Storage management.

Skills
​

•Oracle 11g and RDBMS experience
•Backup and recovery experience at a first-person level required
•Oracle Security Experience
•Experience with Oracle 11g Data Guard Physical Standby and Data Guard Broker
•Experience with RMAN Backup and Recovery, including Recovery Catalog
•Proficient on Oracle patching and upgrades, including out of place upgrade
•Proficient in Solaris 10 environment, including Bash/ ksh shell scripting
*Efficient PL/SQL Programming and development experience
•Experience in using Oracle and related technologies: Data Guard, Audit Vault, Replication (Quest SharePlex) is a plus.
•Knowledge of statistical systems, GIS, cloud computing, and mobile platforms is an asset
•Oracle Certification, preferably OCP
