Job Role: Operation/Terminal Manager - ISO Tank cleaning plant - Dubai
Job Description
The primary objective is to run the company’s new site which is focused around the storage, handling, cleaning, repairing and drumming with focus on ISO tanks.
This includes operations, human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Achieves operational objectives by contributing operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing, productivity, quality; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; continuous improvement of the facility’s procedures and systems.
• Meets facility/site cost control objectives in line with budget by forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Develops operations systems by determining product handling and facility requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
• Develops design by planning procedures, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
• Develops operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.
• Develops operations team and organization to operate the facility stations (cleaning, repair, yard storage, warehousing and drumming)
• Manage the team by motivation and passion to become best in class
• Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Start-up, manage and control the entire facility, consisting of ISO-tank depot, cleaning and repair station and, at a later stage, warehouses and drumming facilities
• Organize and control adherence to the safety standards set by HSSEQ
• Lead by example in ensuring high quality operations and highest safety standards
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal and internal regulations.
• Ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders
• Ensure timely fulfillment of invoicing in coordination with finance department
• Support the sales staff in offering pricing to potential customers
• Frequent reporting and analyzing of facility’s operational performance to General Manager
• Pro-active updating of facility’s performance / challenges
