Our client, a large medical facility in Dubai, is currently looking for a
Neuropsychologist.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities: Performs periodic formal assessments at various stages in the rehabilitation process. Provides feedback/input to the person served, family and treatment team with regard to cognitive/neuropsychological rehabilitation issues, test results and their practical application.Provide counseling/psychotherapy and education to the person receiving services and family regarding the adjustment process and programmatic outcome.Perform a thorough evaluation, assessing the needs of the person receiving services, and set measurable objectives that are formulated in conjunction with the rehabilitation team. Adjust treatment to achieve maximum results.Responsible to apply professional knowledge and skills in accordance with accepted standards of clinical practice, to facilitate problem resolutions, and thereby the achievement of individualized goals and outcomes for the person served.Provide treatment progress and status documentation in accordance with the Plan of Treatment.Develop, teach and assess the plan of treatment. Guide the Rehabilitation Specialist/Certified Nursing Assistant in fulfillment of the plan. Use appropriate methods and tools in all teaching and training activities, including those associated with discharge.Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct in relation to information that is confidential in nature. Share information only when the recipient's right to access is clearly established and the sharing of such information is clearly in the best interest of the person served.To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria: Bachelor degree in the field of Psychology and Postgraduate Doctoral degree (example: Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D., D.Clin.Psy) from an approved Psychology faculty or an educational faculty with focus on Neuropsychology or a Bachelor degree in the field of PsychologyPostgraduate full time Master's degree (includes MSc, MA, M.Phil) of minimum two years from a Psychology faculty or an educational faculty with focus on Neuropsychology provided that the bachelor degree is minimum four (4) years duration;Valid professional license or registration to practice as a PsychologistBilingual with fluency in Arabic and English.License: Eligible for Dubai Health Authority License or transferable UAE license.
Preferred Experience: Not less than 5 years as a Clinical Neuropsychologist in a large hospital or rehabilitation facility with relevant experience with patients with neurological disorders including stroke and traumatic brain injury. Candidates based outside UAE are welcome to apply.
