Multiple selections with eCognition

Is it possible to create multiple selections with the polygon tool within eCognition? Along the lines of: use poly tool, select an area, press down a hot key and select another area which adds to the selection (not overriding & losing the first). Much like how the lasso tool works in Photoshop.
