I am trying to mange users for my ArcSDE database via SSMS as opposed to tools in ArcGIS, to do this i want to set up two new user roles, data-viewer and data-editor, and then assign users to those roles. However, while i have been able to create new roles and add users to those roles i can not figure out how to configure the permissions in SQL to accomplish what i am trying to do.
So how do i configure the permissions in SSMS to create a data-viewer and data-editor role for my database
