We are looking for a Logistics Officer to handle a variety of logistics/admin related duties. The role is to act as a liaison between Salalah Office and Muscat delegation, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all job related issues. The Logistics Officer will support the daily logistics activities in Salalah and assist in coordinating and implementing all processes and relevant documents. The successful candidate should be able to work autonomously and assist in more complex duties. In short, to ensure that ICRC logistics systems are in place and operational.
General Duties
-Ensures validation, recording, follow up and treatment of Requisition Orders (RO) according to established criteria and follows up with requester and updates on status and then close and file
-Establishment, operation and control of warehouse management and stock inventory in accordance with ICRC guidelines – evaluating and registering
-Apply ICRC standards, to all processes
-Prepares documents, statistics, and mail to be sent to concerned departments
-Other concerned duties as required
Import /Export/Customs Clearance
- Ensures clearance of incoming * outgoing shipments to / from Oman.
- Preparing Customs Clearing document, proforma Invoice, packing list, etc..for cargo company use, if applicable.
- Keeping supervisor fully updated on all activities concerning incoming and outgoing cargo at all times.
Warehouse Management
- Ensures that goods are properly stored, picked, packed and loaded and reports any issues.
- Ensures that all the stored goods are properly labelled (expiry dates, batch numbers, manufacturer, etc.) and recorded. Weighs and tallies goods during loading and unloading
- Updates bin cards and stock cards when supervising an inventory transaction. Participates in inventory counts.
- Keeps the facility's equipment and materials neat, clean and orderly and reports any issues.
- Where required, ensures that temperatures are properly recorded
