Purpose of the Job</span>
This position will primarily be based in Mali but could travel to various locations throughout Africa. The Logistics Manager is to support the logistical requirements in the region and manage the acquisition and procurement needs of a given project.
Principle Accountabilities</span>
- Coordinate with the Logistics Manager based in Bamako, Mali
- Report progress daily to senior and associated staff
- Train, mentor, and supervise subordinate staff in the performance of their duties
- Procure goods, components and parts according to plans and established purchasing policies and procedures
- Liaise and coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors on delivery and payment terms
- Work with suppliers to negotiate and achieve best pricing for goods and deliveries
- Keep an updated database of suppliers and price list in the region
- Account for and track all expenses, deliveries, and commitments via CADG Logistics/Finance policies
- Assist the Finance Officer with invoicing and reconciliation of payments made to suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Review and Submit Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders to the local Finance Officer for processing
- Be responsible for inventory control and receiving of all incoming goods and materials
- Perform administrative duties as assigned
- Perform Ad-hoc administration duties assigned
