The company is looking for a wellexperienced and highlyqualified CAD Manager who would use CAD tools at expertlevel to create and modify complex drawings and to lead the CAD team
Major Responsibilites include but not limited to
To ensure that the project team as received all drawings from the client
To update the drawings according to the revised system design as advised by the Design Consultants
To present furnished drawings may it be in 3D or 2D to the client and ensure 100 accuracy
To understand the importance of providing a quality support service
To optimize CAD use to achieve high accuracy and efficiency
Coordinate with the team to resolve design problems and technical queries
To help maintain an efficient amp effective drawing service to internal customers and the external client and associates
Follow guidelines of the main contractor standards and suggests improvements as and when required
To maintain the drawing register
To work as a member of an international engineering team
To manage the international CAD team full management for the Dubai team and highlevel task allocation and engineering overview for the overseas team
To understand security concepts and technologies and to be able to transform security engineers design into meaningful clear and comprehensive drawings
To be able to support the evolution of drawings from concept to asbuilt
To be able to receive feedback from the rest of the engineering team with regard to required changes to the design
To define and implement written procedures to ensure validity and accuracy of CAD team output
To train members of the CAD team
To be the key Subject Matter Expert SME with regard to GIS
To carry out site surveys and audits
To have a clear understanding of the set of drawings required for a complete system design
To have a concise estimation of the resource requirements for each type of drawings and to be able to forecast deployment resource allocation
To be familiar with relevant international national and industry standards and engineering best practices
To contribute in the technological strategy and roadmap of the Company
To contribute in the development and enforcement of guidelines and best practices
To ensure governance is maintained across the project lifecycle
To be able to develop and coach younger members of the team and impart security knowledge to elevate the overall capability of the business
To work efficiently in a demanding multitasking environment with changing priorities and challenging deadlines
Several years of experience preferably in Engineering. Security or Telecom background will be added advantage Proficient in AutoCAD MS Visio Google Sketch up Pro 3DMax and rendering software like Lumen RT. Worked full time on AutoCAD and Google Sketch up. Good knowledge to understand Technical Design Drawings and AutoCAD Standards. Expertlevel knowledge of GIS tools such as Google Earth and ArcINFO ARCGIS. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Result Oriented
