I'm going to apply time series concepts to an satellite image, but instead of using time data located on the 'X' axis, I want to use spatial variations on that axis. In addition, the 'Y' axis keeps the oscillations occurred by spectral properties of the pixels over the image being used. The problem that here arises is that what do I have to call this method? Is it referred to as spatial analysis of non-stationary time series? I mean that, for my case, time is not important at all, and the oscillations occurred are the functions of spatial variations.
