Is this error "invalid context...fatal error" due to GRASS GIS bug or the system?

Copy of error message that appears in the terminal (Macbook Pro, OS X 10.9.5):

MacBook-Pro.local Python[2653] :CGContextRestoreGState: invalid context 0x0. This is a serious error. This application, or a library it uses, is using an invalid context and is thereby contributing to an overall degradation of system stability and reliability. This notice is a courtesy: please fix this problem. It will become a fatal error in an upcoming update.

What could cause this? Can I ignore it? I'm importing Lidar data into GRASS, and the application completes the process without an error in the application's command window.
