Is there an unobfuscated, uncompressed, human readable version of ArcGIS JS API sourc

While working with ArcGIS JavaScript API, I often wish to be able to read the code of some function to understand it better (especially to understand why it's not doing what I would expect after brief read of the documentation, or why the inputs are not correct). However, I know only the working code (which is not very human readable) and one branch on GitHub, which is not much better. I'm not good enough at reverse engineering to be able to study the code without headaches considerably bigger than from trying to avoid the code. I found an answer stating that no code was shipped in 2012, but things might have changed since then - at least the compressed code is better than nothing. But is there something more human readable, or even optimized for developers' needs?
