Is there a way to "translate" Javascript code from a web app that depends on Esri's Javascript API into an Esri-independent web app?

Also, can this be done if the app was built with Esri's Web App Builder?

Would those APIs allow some geoprocessing built in the app? (This would be necessary as the app would call some GP tools as services, it would not be just a map viewer).

I hope this is not too ambiguous.
