Is there a way to include code/language for offsets within the "script" at the CRS di
I'm pretty new to QGIS and coming from being just good enough to be dangerous in Manifold GIS. I have some JPEG 2000 rasters that were exported from Manifold in UTM 18S, and then imported into QGIS, specifying a wgs 84 UTM 18S CRS when importing. They are coming out with about an 8500 meter offset, due south from where they should be, compared to an ASTER DEM lat long layer and the same raster image in Manifold. One of the things I like in Manifold, for better or worse, is the ability to jog the projection offsets EW or NS until they line up with a reference layer (GPS points, or a lat-lon reference layer like an ASTER DEM) -- this is a first approach prior to georegistering the layer to some known.
Is there a way to put flags into the CRS selection line in the CRS dialogue box that create these offsets? Or perhaps there is some complete manual on scripting where I learn those flags and much more?
E.g for these layers:
+proj=utm +zone=18 +south +datum=WGS84 +units=m +no_defsWhat could I add to change the offset?
Of course, could be easier to just reproject to lat long in Manifold and then use that simple projection to move the layers around. This has happened to me a lot though moving between GIS platforms, and it is a minor annoyance that I would like to overcome.
VERY impressed with both QGIS and Manifold as complementary tools; thanks to the QGISers!
