Importing feature class into feature dataset of different coordinate system

So currently I'm creating a geodata base and I'm arranging alot of the data into feature datasets. I have been using the feature class to geodatabase tool to import the data directly into the feature dataset. What happens if the feature class I'm importing has a different coordinate system to the feature dataset? So far if the feature class has a different coordinate system to the feature dataset it will still import and the projection will change to the same as the feature dataset.

My question is has the feature class coordinate system automatically been re-projected to be the same as the feature dataset? Or does the data now have the wrong coordinate system?
