I am new to GIS. I need some assistance with a simple task. I would like to create a add-on or custom tool, written in vb, which will query data from a feature and produce a report, with the feature selected, being displayed on the report and some attribute information displayed next to it. I just need to know the tools to use. I don't need specific code. For example would I use crystal reports to create the report, and then write some VB code to query the selected feature and the use report writer to access this crystal report and populate it with data. I just need some direction.
